How to Find Us

Most commonly cosmetic surgery is performed in an outpatient- accredited facility (Insert photo of NBCS).  It is very important to refrain from eating and drinking after midnight the day prior to surgery.  Normal hygiene and no cosmetics are recommended the morning of surgery.  The patient is to wear comfortable casual clothing, and preferably bring no valuable possessions.  On admission, a review of the procedures is performed, an intravenous established and various monitors are placed on the patient.

Anesthesia varies depending on the complexity of the procedure.  In any case, the anesthesia is extremely safe.  The patients are safer, statistically, in the accredited facility under anesthesia than they are in their vehicles driving to the facility.  There are four levels of anesthesia; local, conscious sedation, unconscious sedation, and general.

Methods of anesthesia are a decision that is made between the anesthesiologist and the patient.  All aspects of anesthesia are discussed thoroughly with the patient.  All of this is with the concurrence of the operating surgeon.

On completion of the surgical procedure the appropriate dressings are applied and the patient is transferred to the recovery room for close monitoring.  Once the patient has recovered from the anesthesia, which is usually less than an hour in duration, a decision is made either to discharge the patient to a care giver of their own choice or the patient has the option to stay overnight in the facility under nurse observation.
