Combating Hair Loss With Neograft® Hair Transplantation

If you’re losing hair, you aren’t alone. By the age of 35, a whopping two-thirds of men in the United States experience some degree of hair loss, and the problem only gets worse the older you get — by age 50, 85% of men have severely thinning hair. On the other side of the gender fence, women make up 40% of the hair-loss sufferers in the US.

Whatever your gender, we have the perfect solution with our NeoGraft hair transplant system. At Dr. Brennan’s Cosmetic Center, under the direction of Dr. George Brennan, our team prides itself on offering cosmetic services that have you covered from head to toe. And when it comes to your head, our NeoGraft hair transplant system is helping many of our patients ditch the hat and comb-overs for a much better solution — real hair.

Here’s a look at how we can combat your hair loss with NeoGraft.

Behind NeoGraft

The goal of our NeoGraft system is to provide you with new hair that fits in seamlessly with your existing hair. To accomplish this, we rely on a Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) method, in which we take hair follicles from areas where you have plenty of hair and move them to where coverage has thinned.

During your Orange County hair transplant procedure, we remove thin strips of your scalp that contain healthy hair follicles (often around your neck) with a specialized instrument that better preserves the hair follicles. We then graft this tissue onto areas where your hair is thinning.

The advantages of NeoGraft

There are many advantages to the innovative NeoGraft technique, including:

  • Better integration
  • Minimal scarring
  • Painless procedure
  • High follicular and graft acceptance rates
  • Faster recovery

With the NeoGraft system, we’re also able to harvest a higher number of grafts during each session than we can using traditional, manual FUE.

Your NeoGraft results

After we redistribute your hair follicles, these follicles will continue to hold hair for a few weeks until it begins the normal three-phase process of hair growth — resting, transition, and active growth. In other words, the redistributed follicles will shed the hair and start up normal hair growth cycles along with your existing hair.

The good news is that once we’ve finished your hair transplant in Orange County , these follicles will continue to produce hair for as long as they’re healthy. Bear in mind that your hair loss may still continue as there’s nothing we can do to stop this process, but you can return for quick touch-ups in areas that are starting to show a little more scalp than you’d like.
